Cut from a shattuckite material originating from the Kaokoveld area of Namibia, Africa, this cabochon’s copper content gives it its complementary blue and green hues. The hardness of this particular piece of rock was not uniform, and its variation made it difficult to cut, lapidary artist Juvy Andres explained.
However, as cabbing progressed, its beautiful shades of blue and green formed a design reminiscent of the Forget Me Not flower. It measures 1.54 x .63. x .21 inches.
